About
Built for the girls
in the group chat.
Rotation is a private dating journal. Not a swipe app. Not a whisper network. Not a place where you rate men out of ten. A place where you figure out what you actually think about the person you keep texting at midnight.
It started because the group chat was getting tired. Every friend group has one person fielding screenshots at 1am: "ok but what does THIS mean." I wanted to build the thing those friends secretly wish existed — a calm, private place to log moments, decode confusing texts, and actually see patterns over time instead of relitigating them in Notes.app.
I also wanted to build it the opposite way of how most dating apps are built. Existing apps treat women like data: harvest everything, sell what they can, breach what's left. The Tea app was a cautionary tale, not a template. Rotation is encrypted on your device, with a key we never see. Even we can't read your entries. That's not a feature I'm marketing — that's the whole thesis.
Rotation is built by one engineer who loves her friends and thinks the group chat deserves better tooling. If that's you too, welcome.
The thesis
"Dating apps treat women like data. Rotation treats women like people who deserve a diary that doesn't snitch."
